My main issue is that I fail to accept that whilst a hairstyle may look good on a celebrity or a friend, it might not suit me. Lady Gaga looks great with platinum blonde hair and yellow streaks so why won't I? I also have a fringe issue. With a large forehead I need a bit of fringe to cover it but with an even bigger nose I can't pull off a full fringe and need something more subtle to distract from it. If only there was somewhere I could 'try before I buy' so to speak.
And then I discovered Taaz. Taaz is a virtual make over site which allows you to try different hair and beauty looks for free as as well as providing a Q&A section, articles on upcoming trends and lots of handy how-to's. This site allows you to browse over 300 pages of celebrity styles to try some iconic looks. Research has shown that the majority of women will take a picture of a celebrity to a hair consultation to describe their ideal look. But will Zooey Deschanel's iconic bangs suit you or do you just covet them because they look so damn good on her?
Taaz allows you to see just that. You simply upload a front facing picture of yourself with your hair off your face, mark the outline of your head and key features and away you go. The beauty section allows you to add make up so you can also see if your new style will fit your day and night time looks. Taaz also alloows you to upload a picture of your own hair and adjust the colour, for those of you who are loyal to your cut but feel a colour change is the answer to your makeover woes.
Taaz Allows you to try a number of looks and styles to see which suit you best:

If you're like me then this may just confirm that you don't suit any updo's.

I can see these pictures coming back to bite me in the ass one day.
So that's the wonder of Taaz! It's my go to for hair and beauty consultation and also a great way to kill some time. Without Taaz I'd never ever have been brave enough to ombre my hair and finally move away from red and it's also been a good procrastination tool and god know I love anything that will put off my mound of work! So what do you think? Do you share my haircut phobia and have I just changed this for you? Do you use a similar programme? Or do you now hate me for giving you the worlds's most addictive distraction from work? Let me know!

I like your hair with the dark updo on the right, I think that suits you! Maybe stay away from light blue though ;)
ReplyDeleteYou do look nice with a majority of the air styles, I disagree that your nose is too big for a full fringe, I have a full fringe and my nose is that fattest thing ever hahaha!

Awwh thanks :) ha i've experimented with fringes before and even if I had a perfectly neat nose I definitely don't have the patience required for maintaining a fringe!
